Bead Head Nymph

Bead Head Nymph

Oil painting on museum series panel
Now I have a few Fishing flies that are attracting my eye! I think they are another curious still life subject. I start to see how the fish are drawn to the hook (catch and release of course).
PS.  See the artist reflection in the 'Bead Head"?

Yes! Another peanut and jelly sandwich! And I do not think I am done painting PB+Js. The textures and color range are very appealing to me (they taste good also).

We have started a peanut butter craze here! I bought some 'Wonder' white bread and we took the peanut butter out of the cupboard, everyone is like'"I can't believe how good this is!" We had steak sandwiches for lunch and people turned them down for peanut butter. Tonight before diner we had red wine with celery filled with...you guessed it...peanut butter.

Peach in a Bowl

'Peach in a Bowl'

This peach was part of a delicious cobbler I baked last night which I called 'Still Life Surprise!'  I am not much of a cook, but it got pretty good reviews on a cold winter night.

This peach came from the Los Angeles Farmers' Market. There are still two fruit stands, but most of the area is a huge shopping mall.
